Solomia

J.S.Bach's "Air on G String" from Suite #3 inspired me for the record with multi-layer vocals resembling different instrumental parts of this unbelievably beautiful piece.  

All arrangements and mastering of my "Aria" CD were performed by Igor Gromadskiy. Recording sessions were held at two different studios:

Gromadskiy Records (Kyiv, Ukraine) and MGB Music (Las Vegas, NV, USA).

This picture is from my last recording session in Las Vegas where I recorded three songs at once: "Magic Flute", "Faust" and "Samson And Delilah".

Here's the video which inspired me for the "ARIA" project: awesome Aretha Franklin singing "Nessun Dorma" from G.Puccini's "Turandot". 

She did an absolutely mind-blowing thing. She sang this composition as no one ever did - with her own style and approach.  

When I heard this, i understood: "That's exactly what I'd like to do!"

My track "Carmen" is based on the famous "Habanera" from G.Bizet's opera. Hope you enjoyed it :)

I don't mean to compare these compositions, they are too different, but that's the way I want to attract people's attention to great masterpieces of the past.

And here's the original version of F.Schubert's "Serenade".

The vibrant voice of American soprano Eleanor Steber (1914 - 1930) moves me so deeply that I just can't stop myself from sharing this record with you so that you can admire its melody and compare it to my interpretation of this song. 

My “La Traviata” is an interpretation of the famous “Brindisi” from G.Verdi’s opera. However, I did a variation of my own. (Did you like it, by the way?) :)

Since, 2004, he created the instrumentals for nearly a hundred of my songs, recorded and mastered them.

I adore our process of co-working and co-creating. Believe me, it's a true magic!

"ARIA" appeared as a consequence of the global shutdown. In times of sorrow and despair, Music and Art are things that keep us creating, loving, and believing in the best.
